Building companies, partnerships and long-term value.

Mehdi Abdi is a Dubai-based technology founder and investor. His career spans investment management, digital identity, technical sales, ecosystem partnerships, venture studios and early-stage technology.

His investment and operating experience dates to 2008. He moved into blockchain in 2019 and has since worked across identity, accelerators, partnerships and early-stage ventures in the Gulf and wider MENA market.

Working principles

What experience has taught me.

01

Follow the responsibility.

Titles change. The work is usually the same: understand the market, build the relationship, make the decision and own the result.

02

Local context is an advantage.

Work across the Gulf and wider MENA market depends on patient partnerships, institutional credibility and knowing how decisions are really made.

03

Technology needs a human reason.

Identity, ownership and AI matter when they improve how people participate, decide and retain control.
